If you want to join us on a hike, check out our H/B trips on outdoors.org (the filters should indicate that the group/chapter is Boston, the audience is 18+ and the committee is hiking/backpacking).  Our leaders offer day hikes, backpacks, overnight trips in huts and cabins, and more.  To sign up for a hike you will need to create a free account on Outdoors.org. or login with your AMC membership information. Note that many hikes fill up early so we recommend that you check the trip listings regularly. 

After you submit a request to be on a trip you will hear from a co-leader by phone or email.  Co-leaders or leaders often have to clarify questions about your gear and recent experience.  To minimize the number of questions that leaders ask you, please ensure that you complete all questions on the registration form included gear and your recent hikes (past 12 months).

Approximately one week prior to your trip, you will receive an information sheet with a more detailed list of items that we expect you to bring on the hike.  We will also inform you of the meeting time and location.  If you have questions prior to receiving the information sheet, feel free to reach out to the leader or co-leader.
