Welcome to the Appalachian Mountain Club's Boston Chapter Hiking/Backpacking Committee website. You can be involved in the H/B Committee in several ways.  You can join day and weekend hiking trips, instructional programs (which include the spring and winter hiking programs, a map and compass workshop, wilderness first aid training, and leadership training) and social events.  Check out the resources link for useful links for trail conditions, weather forecasts, recommended gear lists, lodging in the mountains, and more!  Lastly, H/B leaders should find the resources they need to lead a successful trip under the leader's corner.  Please reach out to us via the member feedback form with any questions you have or information that you would like to see on this website.
